Jen Jen was originally founded in late 1999 when Jennifer Marcellus, tired of working in a corporate fashion environment started making hats, bibs, and purses for a local children's store at the request of friend Susan Stoup. Unbeknownst to Jennifer, Susan took these samples to a well-known showroom in Los Angeles. The unique bibs and purses made of vinyl covered cloth with a toy enclosed inside were an instant hit!
Initially Jennifer offered only the bibs and bags, but soon added lap tees and onesies. Finally, in January 2002, she debuted her first line of clothing at the ENK Children's Club show in New York.
Now Jen Jen is sold in boutiques and department stores all across America, Puerto Rico, Canada, Japan, and the UK.
